Hello East House! Today is my last day scribing for you all so I feel a little disappointed. This week sure went by fast! Here’s our game plan for the day.
Game Plan:
-Collect 3 characters commitment
- Next week, Mrs. Edwards will assign us a project that has to do with one of the characters we picked. We will be given partners based on what characters we chose and there will only be 2 class days to work on this project. So who’s excited for next week?
-Tone, characterization, irony
- Like we were promised, Mrs. Edwards had given us a short lesson about tone, characterization, and irony. These three different writing techniques were used in Chaucer’s character prologue to show his special way of writing.
- EXTRA CREDIT for highlighting real uses of irony in the song lyrics of “Ironic” by Alanis Morissete. You must look at the whole song to receive two extra credit points.
-Extra credit and your reading of an SSR classic novel was also due today
And finally, a special shout out to Evan and Jose for being two of the six people in the junior class to receive a high word masters average. Not only will they get to have bragging rights, but they also get an extra boost in their grade! Lucky ducks.
